What's Holding You Back From Being CREATIVE?

Somewhere along the way, creativity got put in a box:
- Artists
- Designers
- Performers
- Writers
But what about the mom who designs elaborate birthday parties from dollar store supplies?
Or the woman who throws flavors together in the kitchen and never measures a thing?
Or the girl who can turn a clearance rack outfit into a fashion masterpiece?
THAT’S creativity too.
"But I’m Not Good at It…"
Okay, Mama, pause. Listen!
You wouldn’t tell your kid they weren’t good at riding a bike because they fell off the first try, right?
So why are you doing that to yourself when it comes to creativity?
Being creative isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being curious.
It's about making, exploring, expressing—not impressing.
If it brings you joy, peace, or that little tingly feeling that makes you go “Yessss!”... then, it counts.
You Don't Need a Title to Be Creative
Stop waiting for permission to claim what’s already yours.
You don’t need to publish a book to be a writer.
You don’t need a camera crew to be a content creator.
You don’t need a business license to be a maker.
You just need to say: “This is something I do. This is something I love.”
Then do it.
Let’s Redefine the “Creative Type”
- You notice beauty in the ordinary.
- You love making things that didn’t exist before.
- You crave expression more than validation.
- You’ve got ideas that whisper, then scream, then keep you up at night.
- You care deeply—and creativity is how your soul speaks.
So guess what? If that’s you?
Congratulations—you’re already the creative type.
